Category Help

Sign Swap is based on the database and images behind the PC CD-Rom Sign With Me This is where the category lists originally came from. Many of the images have also come from the CD-Rom, but the size (and thus quality) has been reduced to enable quick access over the internet.
Do not be fooled, Sign Me Me has many other features not available here, the most important being the ability to translate almost all the words in a sentence into strips of sign images, with the ability to edit and select whether to use signed enlish filler words.
It is also a much more useful product, allowing you to format your text and images before printing.

Please take note of the following instructions to get the most out of Sign Swap Search

  • Phrases are entered typed as one word (eg: "tookhours", "eatout"). There is a category that contains all the phrases here.
  • Leave plurals (ie "s") and past and future tenses (ie "ed") off the word you are searching for.

  • Use the categories to find out about a subject, or learn relevant signs before an outing
  • This section is especially useful for making labels to stick around the house, and also for revision
