Savvy the Great

This book is about the day Savvy had his aid turned on and how the world changed. The sound of water coming from the tap, birds outside and the many other wonderful sounds he had never heard before. He shares with the reader his experiences with the aid and socially enjoys hero status amongst friends who are interested in his hearing aid and in learning Australian Sign language.

“I was called to remember when my son first got his hearing aids and began hearing sounds, like the phone ringing, for the first time. An excellent book, highly recommended for children about to get their hearing aids or cochlear implant, but also all children. A highly educational story!” Lee Bilby

Savvy in the Great Blue Book

Savvy is off on an adventure of a life time with his new friend Swaggie. He discovers Blue bells, blue gums…… and on the way explains to swaggie that he can not hear him when he is not facing him, that some times (like in the wind) he prefers to turn off his aid, and many other important facts and tips about making communication easier for Savvy.

This is a great book for young children and introduces many important tips about communicating with a hearing impaired child and about the world from their eyes.

My children just loved it and I recommend it to everyone.
