I released several cassettes in the early 90's with titles like "A Few Quick Takes" and"Weaving a Sound Sculpture". During this time I joined a band Mark S. Holsworth was starting called "Dada Tribe #373", they have released 15 cassettes and a Mixed-Mode CD together, and appeared on Clan Analogue Melbourne's compilation CD "Pre-Sense".
I first started using the name BIOS at the release of my first home-made CD "Ray Tracey" and the opening of an exhibition of my artwork at Subterranean Artworks in November 1996.

Review: Mark S. Holsworth, MA. November 1996 "Addressing the question of how to present the new media of computer art, with arts and crafts sensibilities. This is Chris Baber's first solo exhibition; he is a young 3D Graphic Designer and electronic music Composer. In this exhibition he is laying claim to alternative territory in the future of hi-tech art with a comfortable home-made approach. This is art for the high-tech new age hippy.
In July of 1997, I released "Low-Brow Sci-Fi", to favorable reviews and radio play on Melbourne's 3RRR and 3PBS.

Review: Form Guide #46. September 1997. 4/5 Stars. - "Very cool electronic act from Melbourne's Clan Analogue collective. I think this could be the work of just a single guy although it's often hard to tell with this sort of release. The first half of the disk head into breakbeats and jungle, with a few soundbyte thrown in. Over the last few tracks things become more ambient and atmospheric, and the beats are slower. This could be the future sound of Coburg."
Since then I have worked on mastering a demo CD for local act "tetrphnm" and video clips for tracks "Trick Jungle" and "Steep2"off my last CD featuring computer generated and live footage.
