All about ACARA Certification

ACARA is in formation, and as is its Auslan Accreditation Panel, as such this information should be treated as tentative.

ACARA's Auslan Accreditation Panel is responsible for the review and certification of all Resources and Services submitted to ACARA for accreditation.

According to our constitution all members of the Auslan Accreditation Panel must:

  • Be existing members of ACARA
  • Be nominated by at least one member and approved, by two third majority vote, by the Directors of ACARA
  • Be recognized in their area of expertise and be appropriately qualified, whether through experience and/or academically, to be an appropriate person to evaluate Auslan resources and/or services.
All members of the 'Auslan Accreditation Panel' are members of ACARA, who have been nominated for a position on the panel by one or more members and ratified by the Board of Directors. If you believe that you have expertise in Auslan and would be willing to donate your time towards the accreditation of resources (Course accreditation is not expected to commence until later this year) please send your Expressions of Interest to us.

To date, the following members have expressed their interest in, and been accepted by the Board of Directors, as participants in the 'Auslan Accreditation Panel'. Additional 'Auslan Accreditation Panel' members' details will continue to appear as their nominations are ratified by the Board of Directors.
